COLOMBIA

This is a mini-documentary about finding ones’ roots.

As an adoptee, there comes a moment in life when all those questions surrounding the adoption need to be answered. This is a personal story about how I found my biological mother on Facebook and subsequently the trip to Colombia that followed. This has meant a great deal because trying to find ones’ biological relatives is a big milestone, and one that comes with a lot of consideration and reflection. Would it change who I am etc?

This was documented in 2022 as I ventured back to where it all began.

The documentary

AI technology

Apart from the travel video, countless hours of old photos and old videos were reviewed and added to the final documentary in order to tell the story properly. AI was an integral part of this process to enhance and restore the picture quality.
